The Katinas are a Contemporary Christian music group. The family of five brothers
hails from American Samoa, and moved to Washington state after the death of
their mother in 1988. The group’s members sang in church as children and began
playing fairs, soon moving up to nationwide slots opening for R. Kelly, Jasmine
Guy, DC Talk, and Amy Grant. The group was signed to Gotee Records and has
released several albums on the imprint, including a 2006 retrospective entitled Collection.
“We’ve always believed that music is our platform to extend the message of hope and love”,
says Joe, drums and vocals. “The songs on this record are just a vehicle to continue to drive
this message to whoever will listen.” www.thekatinas.com
James Wells is the Director of Music for Youth and Children and the praise and
worship leader at Brentwood United Methodist Church.
Chris Wheeler (Shohana’s Hope) passionately communicates the truths of God’s
kingdom in fresh, simple and creative ways. His zest for life, zany caricatures, and
living Biblical monologues make the Bible come to life. Add to this his beat-box
skills and many various sound effects and you have a wild-haired people-magnet
creating a memorable environment for the teaching of God’s word. Wheeler wants
people to know just how much God loves them and desires a relationship with them. With
energy, emotion, and deep conviction, Wheeler challenges people to become who God
made them to be. His favorite quote is by missionary martyr Jim Elliot who said, “Wherever
you are, be all there. Live to the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God.”

Jason McLeod When Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia. decided to
make a movie, Jason landed the part of ‘Brock Kelley’ in the now internationally-
distributed Christian movie Facing the Giants. Better known as “the kid who did
the death crawl,” Jason shares a testimony of how his life was parallel with that of
his character Brock. God used the movie in Jason’s life to show him how he was
living a life of mediocrity as a teenager. After the movie was produced, Jason went on to
Georgia Southern University where he played for the Georgia Southern Eagles football team
for two years. Right before the release of the movie, God called Jason to step away from
football to pursue the ministry. Jason has a unique gift of connecting with audiences of all
ages due to his energy and excitement for the Lord! He hopes to connect people to a real
and authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.
