Upper School
students are given the opportunity to participate in a mission trip during
Interim several times throughout their high school experience. Our students
have served in Mexico, Appalachia, and the Gulf coast. They have built and
repaired, worshiped, and served those in need; in doing so, they learn much
about God’s abundant love and care.
Through Fellowship
of Christian Athletes, Young Life (Upper School) and Wyldlife (Middle School) campus
organizations, students are given the opportunity to participate in retreats
and summer camp, and most importantly, to experience Christian fellowship. Hands
for Him is a ministry for eighth grade girls to present Christian music in
a unique form, as an expression of worship through sign language which is
carefully choreographed for special performances.
Each year,
the 8th grade class leaves a legacy Bible verse to the Middle School.
This verse, which hangs in the Middle School commons, is their reminder to
their classmates of a Biblical truth they value and embrace. Likewise, the senior
class has a Bible verse which they share with the Upper School students. This
verse, which is chosen at the beginning of the school year to hang in the
gymnasium, gives special meaning to their years at FRA and serves as a lifelong
reminder of their FRA experience.
